Esrawe + Cadena is a multidisciplinary workshop with over 25 years of experience bringing together design expertise, analysis, and creative talent. Los Trompos functions as both artwork and rotating platform, acting as a gathering place for relaxation, social interaction, and the art of play.

The works draw inspiration from a toy that has been popular with children around the world since the dawn of time. By working together to create momentum, visitors can spin the tops on their bases.

The installation was first commissioned by High Museum of Arts, Atlanta in 2015.
